Speaker at Princeton University

On 25th March 2021, I spoke at the Princeton University "Women in Afghanistan and the Region."
The goal of the seminar was to explore the framework for the withdrawal of American forces in Afghanistan and the importance of ensuring democratic safeguards and rights for women and minorities throughout the region. We discussed the degree to which Afghan women act as stakeholders in the peacebuilding process. We also discussed the role that women will play in ushering in any future agreement between the Taliban and the Afghan government and measures to be taken to enshrine women’s rights in a post-conflict Afghan civil society.
