The Graduate College is hosting a Zoom webinar on Thursday, October 1 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. with a presentation and live panel called Thinking About Graduate School: Next Steps. It will cover the strategies for applying to schools, selecting schools as well as additional information. Register here by Monday, September 28.

The Chief Diversity Officer seeks to begin an LGBTQIA+ and Allies affinity group at UNI. Diversity Dialogue continues conversation for educator prep students

Teacher education and educator preparation students and interested faculty are invited to join in the conversation at Diversity Dialogue on September 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in SEC 216. Sponsored by the College of Education, this is the first of several conversations planned this year to support future teachers and educators preparing for a more socially just, diverse and inclusive educational system.

History/Phi Alpha Theta Lecture: “CAB, NRC, RSS, and BJP: The Alphabet Soup of Indian Authoritarianism”

Dive into decolonization efforts in India with the first lecture in the Phi Alpha Theta Lecture series: “CAB, NRC, RSS, and BJP: The Alphabet Soup of Indian Authoritarianism”. It will be presented by Louis Fenech, Professor of History on Tuesday, on September 15 at 7 p.m. Limited seating available for in-person attendance; Zoom link otherwise provided, however registration is required.

Diversity Book Read coming

This year's Diversity Book Read will be, "How To Be An Anti-Racist," by Ibram X. Kendi. Multiple external organizations and institutions have joined UNI in this read, making it a "community read." More info is coming, but some facilitators are still needed for the UNI groups. The facilitators will lead groups of UNI faculty, staff and/or students.
