IAF Application Deadline is Thursday, April 1

Completed IAF applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 1 for research funds or any trips occurring between June 1 - Sept. 30. The Intercollegiate Academics Fund (IAF) is a yearly allocation of Student Activity Fee monies that exists to promote and support intercollegiate academic experiences for University of Northern Iowa students. Pre-Service Teacher STEM Conference Set for April 9 and 10

Pre-service teachers preparing for careers in elementary and secondary education will focus on STEM learning and teaching practices at the 2021 Pre-Service Teacher Conference planned for April 9 and 10. This year’s virtual event, hosted by University of Northern Iowa College of Education and the Northeast Iowa Regional STEM Hub, is entitled “Be Inspired: STEM in Your Future Classroom.” Please register in advance. Carlton-Mellichamp Lecture in Education

Inclusion and adapted physical education is the focus of several sessions of this year's Carlton-Mellichamp Lecture in Education hosted by the UNI College of Education. Sessions on Tuesday, March 30 include a keynote address, open to all, by Justin Haegele, Old Dominion University, on "Questioning the Inclusiveness of Education." The day also includes a conversation with students, open to all interested students, and a faculty/community forum, on "Listening to the Voices of Individuals with Disabilities to Inform Teaching Practices." Registration information for the two public sessions can be found on the College of Education event webpage. Virtuous Educator Speaker Series: Richard Osguthorpe

Richard Osguthorpe, Brigham Young University, will speak on Friday, March 26 from 1 to 2 p.m. on "Dispositions of the Moral Educator: Destabilizing Social Reproduction Through Transformative Teaching," the next virtual session of the Virtuous Educator Speaker Series, hosted by the Department of Educational Psychology, Foundations and Leadership Studies in the UNI College of Education. Theatre UNI presents It's Greek to Me

UNI Men's Volleyball Club at Iowa State University

The Men's Volleyball team heads to Ames, Iowa for their first tournament of the 2021 Spring season on Saturday, March 20. The Panthers will take on Iowa State University, University of Illinois, University of Nebraska and Wayne State University. First match for the Panthers is at 9:30 a.m. vs Nebraska.
