Walk with the Chi Sigma lota society on Saturday, April 24 to raise funds and awareness to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. Join the Good Neighbor Iowa group at Clay Street Park from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for an Earth Day and 4-Year Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, April 24. This 3-day hybrid workshop will take place May 18-20, 2021, and will focus on incorporating service-learning activities into 2021/2022 courses in ways that align with course learning goals, enhance student growth and civic awareness and strengthen our community. Applications are due soon for the Koob Fund scholarship. This scholarship supports students who are completing internships at a nonprofit/social sector organization in Iowa. Applications for Summer/Fall internships are available on the UNI Community Engagement website. Awards up to $2,000 (undergraduate students) and up to $3,000 (graduate students) will be given.
See the latest diversity-related display at Rod Library. IDS student Matthew Bancroft-Smithe curated this month's diversity display near the Book Bistro. Titled "Activism," the display encourages the viewer to educate and act, "the power to make changes lies is within and begins with each individual." Students and student groups can request to curate a diversity-related book display on the request form.
