When he was looking at colleges, Braden Hoyer wanted to be able to get the personal connections and help from professors that smaller colleges offer while still having access to the resources and opportunities found at larger universities. At UNI, he discovered he could have the best of both worlds.

UNI has such an expansive selection of student organizations and opportunities to get involved. While there isn’t enough time to do everything, it’s great to have so many options connected to Hoyer’s interests. He’s been able to join a lot of super fun organizations like Panther Ambassadors, The UNI Student Theatre Association, the university’s improv team and CAT Crew, which is a group of students that welcomes new Panthers at the start of the year. He also has a huge love for the Wellness and Recreation Center and the UNI Outdoors Programs. Whether it’s intramural sand volleyball, kayaking, hiking the trails or climbing the rock wall, there are so many amazing ways to get active and have fun with friends.
