Informational webinar about Physical Education: Teaching—Pedagogy M.A. program set for Oct. 17

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa has announced the start of a new cohort for the Physical Education: Teaching—Pedagogy M.A. program, set to begin January 2019. Teachers or coaches that are interested in learning more about this online graduate program are encouraged to attend an informational webinar that will take place from 4 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17. Participants will learn more about the program, meet faculty and have an opportunity to ask questions. Visit to register.

This program prepares teachers and coaches to be effective and reflective educators while providing for the professional development needs of pre-K through 12 physical education teachers and coaches. Participants will link practice to theory while broadening their understanding of the educational processes as they relate to the physical education teaching and learning environment.

Courses are offered in eight-week modules on select Wednesday evenings via interactive desktop video conferencing (Adobe Connect) with additional coursework offered online via eLearning, a dynamic platform that will enhance your learning experience and sense of community with fellow classmates.

The program uses a cohort model in which a group of students moves through the six-semester course sequence together. To learn more about this program or to apply, visit
