CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa is accepting applications for its Master of Arts in School Library Studies program that begins in summer 2016 and fall 2016. This program prepares students to become teacher librarians who use their acquired knowledge of children and young people, books and information technologies, curriculum and the power of collaboration to enhance the learning experiences of students in their schools.
“UNI's School Library Studies program links the technology and literacy leadership skills teacher librarians need in order to teach students critical literacies and to help teachers integrate digital and print resources,” said Karla Krueger, program coordinator.
Courses in this program are offered online using eLearning. Many courses meet once per week via interactive video conferencing. Some courses include one or two in-person, hands-on experiences Saturdays on the UNI campus.
