CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa is accepting applications for a Bachelor of Arts in Technology Management, beginning this fall. The technology management B.A. program is designed for graduates of career and technical programs from Iowa's community colleges and focuses on industry while incorporating an applied approach to critical-thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.
"UNI is committed to making select, affordable educational opportunities accessible to Iowans, regardless of where they reside," said Kent Johnson, dean of UNI's Continuing Education and Special Programs. "We are pleased to provide a pathway for professionals who wish to advance their careers, while addressing the needs of Iowa's manufacturers."
Program coordinator Ali Kashef commented, "With an exceptionally strong placement record, this program offers flexibility for busy individuals who expect practical knowledge to enter a competitive job market and who want to expand their technical, managerial, critical-thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. As a student, you will work with dedicated faculty who will guide and support you every step of the way."
Courses are offered entirely online using eLearning, a Blackboard learning management system requiring Internet access and a Web browser. The program also uses a cohort model in which students move together through the coursework, with the degree to be awarded in the spring of 2019.
