UNI Science Education Update Conference set for April 6

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – University of Northern Iowa Science Education will host the UNI Science Education Update Conference from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 6, at the

Commons Ballroom on UNI's campus. Secondary science teachers from all of over the state of Iowa, as well as UNI faculty and students, are expected to participate.  

The conference features presentations on the latest research in the sciences and science education; innovative science teaching strategies and curriculum aligned with national and state science education standards; and informal discussions on relevant issues in secondary science classrooms. 

Aileen Sullivan, 2018 Iowa Teacher of the Year, UNI alumnus and Ames High School chemistry teacher, will provide the keynote presentation.
