CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – For its final production of the 2025-2026 season, TheatreUNI will present Jen Silverman’s dark comedy “Witch.”

Public performances will be held April 24 and 25, and May 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. and April 26 and May 3 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in Bertha Martin black box theatre in the Strayer-Wood Theatre on the University of Northern Iowa campus.

An inventive retelling of a Jacobean drama, Jen Silverman's sharp, subversive fable debates how much our souls are worth when hope is hard to come by.

Associate Professor of Theatre, Matthew Weedman will direct the play, with scenic and props design by Associate Professor Mark A. Parrott, costume design by Associate Adjunct Professor Katrina Sandvik, lighting design by guest artist Jonathan Allender-Zivic, sound design by student Ethan Hussel, and stage management by student Paige Winkelman.

Tickets are $24 and can be purchased through unitix.uni.edu, at the UNItix counter in the Gallagher-Bluedorn or at the Strayer-Wood box office the week of the show.

This performance contains adult language and themes and a scene of bloody violence. Smoke and haze effects and flashing lights may be used.
