UNI Gallery of Art to present two fall 2025 BFA exhibitions

BFA exhibition at UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa Gallery of Art will present its fall 2025 Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) group exhibition from Tuesday, Dec. 9, through Thursday, Dec. 19. An opening reception will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the south lobby of the Kamerick Art Building (KAB). This semester’s exhibition features two graduating art studio majors with an emphasis in drawing.

Alexandra Hook, of Clinton, Iowa, will present “The Hunger.” An emerging artist and future art educator, Hook works primarily in painting, drawing, and printmaking. Her BFA exhibition examines themes of obsessive-compulsive disorder through reimagined narratives rooted in vampire folklore.

Maze Starr, of Marion, Iowa, will present “For the Birds.” Starr focuses on two-dimensional media, particularly drawing and printmaking. Her exhibition offers a humorous yet critical perspective on contemporary healthcare experiences.

All events are free and open to the public. The gallery is located on the main floor of the Kamerick Art Building and is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
