Perreault’s lifelong passion for all things music led him to the University of Northern Iowa. He instantly fell in love with the campus because it was small enough to help him build a close-knit community while also being big enough to provide him with the resources he wanted to earn a music degree.

In UNI’s welcoming environment, Perreault’s appreciation for the way music brings people together has grown. Not only has he made close friends with his classmates in the School of Music, but he’s also gained numerous faculty role models who have helped him throughout his journey of pursuing a degree in music. All of these relationships are helping him succeed.

“All of the professors are so very nurturing toward the students,” he said. “They do not hesitate to take time out of their day to help anyone who is struggling. There are so many professors in the School of Music who I look up to as role models. It’s a very close-knit community. Everyone is just very invested in the students’ future.”
