Our newest addition to the incubator, Jessica Wise, had the opportunity to showcase her business, White and Yellow T-shirt Co., on Main Street, in Waterloo, for Shop Downtown Saturdays. White and Yellow offers four distinctive lines of t-shirts with uplifting quotes on them and donates 10% of the profits to local charities specifically tied to that line.

Jessica shared, “Having the opportunity to be in-store has provided me with connections both online and offline. Simply interacting with customers and sharing my excitement about the pop-up has created more buzz with the White & Yellow online community. I absolutely love the connections that I have made or made stronger through the business and specifically the pop-up!”

Corey Behrens joined Jessica to showcase his wedding film-making business, Simplistic Views. Although Corey’s passion is creating a story for wedding couples to watch over and over again, he recently started working with commercial businesses. Simplistic Views has built a reputation of creating high quality and compelling films.

After the experience, Corey shared, “If given the opportunity, I would do this again because it gave me access to a space in downtown Waterloo. The space I was given was actually my dream location for after graduation. I also enjoy being involved with the community as well as learning from this experience. I gained valuable insight as to whether videography would be a viable business in downtown Waterloo.”

The two remaining dates for Shop Downtown Saturdays are December 15 and 22. We encourage you to check out what local businesses have to offer at this unique pop-up shop event.
