Gabe Groothuis, founder, operator, and owner of Groothuis Solutions, has been a tenant at the UNI JPEC for two semesters now. With the help of another Student Business Incubator (SBI) Tenant, Corey Behrens, Gabe has been growing Groothuis Solutions to become an online platform that distributes educational media content to high school programs throughout the nation to better their mock trial programs. Previously, Gabe offered in-person consulting and clinics, and after scaling his business, he is able to offer three different online courses to his clients: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Gabe has a simple goal for Groothuis Solutions: Become the world's best Mock Trial consulting firm. To achieve this goal, Gabe is dedicated to “Passionately providing excellence,” to his clients. Gabe decided to scale his business to an online platform while attending the 13th annual Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute (OEI) during August of 2018. At OEI, Gabe was challenged and encouraged to identify a viable and sustainable growth path for his business.

Gabe is currently a senior at the University of Northern Iowa and is on track to graduate in the fall of 2019. Gabe is double majoring in Marketing and Management. When he’s not working, Gabe enjoys the outdoors, golfing, hunting, and rock climbing. Gabe also leads a college ministry at his church located in Cedar Falls. There are three core values Gabe lives his life by: faith, integrity, and passion. Gabe is a firm believer that work doesn’t have to be boring; as a matter of fact, it can be fun! When a problem is presented or a roadblock comes up, Gabe approaches it from a strategic view point to get it fixed, and get it fixed correctly.
