UNI's business college recognizes high-achieving students with direct admission

UNI’s College of Business Administration welcomed the first class of freshmen to the UNI Business Scholars Academy this Fall. Like direct admission at other business colleges, the UNI Business Scholars Academy recognizes high-achieving first-year college students with direct admission into the business college and financial scholarship offerings.

The UNI Business Scholars Academy opens the door to many opportunities in the college, including:

  • Designated sections of first-year business core courses
  • One-credit optional topics course(s)
  • Special Scholars Academy events throughout the semester

Students who qualify for admittance into the UNI Business Scholars Academy may be eligible to receive various University and UNI Business scholarships totaling up to $19,400 over 4 years.

“If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we need to remove barriers within our control to provide more opportunities for success. UNI Business Scholars Academy is a way for us to support high-achieving students, meeting them where they are as they begin their journey here at UNI, and, most importantly,  lower the stress associated with student debt. This is one of many initiatives to provide to students the support they need to graduate and be confident of their skills when entering a very competitive job market.”

To be eligible for admission into the UNI Business Scholars Academy, students must be first-year domestic or international business students who scored 25 or higher on the ACT exam (1200 or higher on the SAT) and have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.5. First-year domestic or international business students who were unable to take the ACT due to COVID-19 must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.85.
