Bob Bowlsby to be inducted into MVC Hall of Fame
Bob Bowlsby, who served as UNI's Director of Athletics from 1983 to 1991, has been selected as part of the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame class. He will be honored with the conference's lifetime achievement award during the league's Hall of Fame induction ceremony on March 8, 2024 during the MVC Men's Basketball Tournament in St. Louis.
During Bowlsby's tenure as Athletic Director at UNI, he managed the university's entry into the MVC ahead of the 1991-92 school year and increased the program's fundraising by 400%. Bowlsby formulated the UNI Athletics Hall of Fame program, and himself was inducted into UNI's Hall of Fame in 2004.
UNI recently announced Bowlsby will return to serve as the Panthers' interim athletics director.
