Families invited to UNI Botanical Center’s haunted greenhouse event

Greenhouse

The community is invited to join the UNI Botanical Center for its first ever haunted greenhouse “The BOOtanical Center of Horrors” on Friday, Oct. 28 from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Participants will experience the Classroom of Creepy Curiosities with hands-on activities before being led through the greenhouses at night. Caution is recommended, as there will be flashing lights, uneven pathways, loud noises and disturbing images throughout.

All ages are welcomed. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parental discretion advised.

This event is being held at the same time as the UNI Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry’s annual “Halloween House” event, which takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 on the second floor of McCollum Science Hall.
