Keckeisen becomes first Panther wrestler to win three Big XII titles

This past weekend saw UNI's Parker Keckeisen become the first Panther wrestler ever to win three Big XII titles. Keckeisen defeated Marcus Coleman of the Iowa State Cyclones on Sunday night, winning 6-2 at 184 pounds. 

Keckeisen will enter the NCAA Championships with a record of 22-1, having won his last 16 matches.

UNI will send at least five wrestlers who qualified via conference allocations to NCAA Championships, which will be held in Tulsa, March 16-18.

The remaining 45 at-large selections and brackets for the NCAA Championships will be announced Wednesday night.

UPDATE: UNI wrestlers Cael Happel (141) and Derek Holschlag (157) will join five of their teammates on the national stage as the NCAA announced 47 at-large selections for the NCAA Championships.
