Get out of the way, the Panther Train is rolling.

For the first time since the 1985-86 season, UNI Wrestling will be represented in all 10 weight classes at the NCAA Championships. It’s also a first under head coach Doug Schwab, now in his 15th season leading the Panthers.

The Panthers secured nine automatic bids after a strong showing at the Big 12 Championships, while Lance Runyon received an at-large bid to complete the full lineup.

UNI is one of just four programs in the country to qualify all ten wrestlers, outpacing both Iowa (9) and Iowa State (8).

The Panthers will battle for national titles in Philadelphia at the NCAA Championships, March 20-22, aiming to make history once again.

The University of Northern Iowa is currently fundraising for a new wrestling facility as part of the Our Tomorrow campaign, which will include space for weight and cardio training, multiple mats, locker rooms, and office space for wrestling staff.  Learn more about the project here.
