One of the best times on our campus is when we say “hello” to our newest Panthers preparing to join our community! We are gearing up to welcome hundreds of new students during summer orientation held this June and July. 

Registration for summer orientation sessions is now open! This is a chance for committed students and families to become more familiar with campus and take a step toward a successful college experience. You’ll meet UNI staff, upperclassmen and other incoming students. There are options for first-year students as well as students who plan to transfer from another institution.

Although orientation is a required step in your journey at UNI, it’s also exciting! You’ll get to know the campus, meet fellow students and experience a taste of the independence college offers. Your schedule will include:

• Meeting with an academic advisor
• Registering for classes
• Spending time with your orientation leader, who is a fellow UNI student
• Receiving one-on-one financial aid counseling
• Activating your UNI email address and discovering how to navigate UNI’s online platforms
• Learning about essential campus resources, such as Student Health and Well-being Services, Housing & Dining, Student Involvement and more

Family members or other supporters of your journey are also welcome to attend orientation programming!

You must accept your offer of admission before you sign up for orientation. Plus if you sign up early, you’ll get the largest selection of dates to choose from!
