RodCon marks 10 years of comics, crafts and creativity at UNI’s Rod Library
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Celebrate 10 years of pop-culture excitement at UNI’s Rod Library during the annual RodCon, set for Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free mini-comic book and pop culture convention brings together fans of all ages to enjoy a wide array of activities and entertainment.
This year’s celebration includes something for everyone, with games, comics, crafts, trivia and a costume contest. A variety of vendors will also be on hand, offering unique items to enhance the fan experience.
“Over the last decade, I have seen RodCon evolve from a concept conceived by a student employee into an event that families and community members eagerly anticipate each year, “ said Melinda Beland, marketing and public relations specialist at Rod Library. “The joy I see on the faces of attendees is truly out of this world.”
RodCon is a family-friendly event and is open to the public. Whether you’re a longtime comic book fan or new to the world of pop culture conventions, this is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in all things comics, heroes and fandom.
