UNI announces 2025 Homecoming theme “Panthers Through Time”
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa will be celebrating “Panthers Through Time” at this year’s Homecoming, scheduled for Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. The theme pays homage to UNI’s storied past, drawing inspiration from the UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration, which will officially launch during Homecoming week.
Always a favorite, the annual parade will be held in downtown Cedar Falls on Saturday, Oct. 4, and start at 11 a.m. Additional activities will be announced soon.
“Homecoming is always a special event at the University of Northern Iowa, but the alignment with the launch of our sesquicentennial celebration makes it especially significant this year,” said Pete Moris, director of University Relations at UNI. “We are looking forward to a fabulous series of events where we can honor UNI’s rich tradition and vibrant future!”
Moris especially looks forward to the increased energy that the UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration will bring. “This year marks the 150th incoming class at UNI, so we’ll celebrate our newest students, while also recognizing our previous classes.”
