UNI Bookstore transition and what the campus community should anticipate
UNI Bookstore transition and what the campus community should anticipate
The management of UNI Bookstore operations is transitioning to Follett Higher Education Group, which is the largest campus store operator in North America. Follet operates more than 1,200 bookstores under their management. As the UNI Bookstore begins its transition to day-to-day management by Follett, we want the campus community to be informed about what to anticipate in the coming weeks.
- The UNI Bookstore will close beginning at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22 as the staff conducts inventory and prepares for the many new items that Follett will offer to the UNI community.
- Follett will reopen the UNI Bookstore once all necessary transition work is completed. It is anticipated that the store will reopen no later than Monday, Oct. 30. The Bookstore will share a reopening date on its website and other channels once it is determined.
- Online orders will be accepted through Tuesday, Oct. 17 and will resume once the bookstore reopens under Follett’s management.
- The Bookstore website will remain the same at: www.unibookstore.com and the phone number will remain 319-273-2665. All of the UNI Bookstore social media handles will remain the same, as well.
- Students, faculty, staff and other bookstore customers should anticipate a renovation of the UNI Bookstore in the coming year.
- Follett will honor previously purchased UNI Bookstore gift cards.
- Finally, we encourage everyone to offer a warm Panther welcome to Follett’s new manager of the bookstore, Alex Brandt. Alex is currently a member of the current UNI Bookstore staff and is a proud UNI alum!
All Panthers are encouraged to take advantage of sale prices and clearance specials. Some selected items will be marked down as much as 75% from regular pricing. There are tremendous bargains for any UNI fan on your holiday shopping list! We are excited about this new partnership and confident that all bookstore customers will continue to experience the same level of service and satisfaction under Follett’s direction.
