UNI brings Panther Pride to second annual Beyond the Game event
Come see the University of Northern Iowa booth on Aug. 11-12 in Dyersville, Iowa, as part of the Beyond the Game event. The booth will be located with food, beverage and community vendors in West Side Park. Stop by to get some free UNI swag, play games to win prizes and interact with members of the UNI cheer and dance teams.
UNI’s booth will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 11 and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 12. The full schedule of Beyond the Game festivities runs Aug. 9-12.
The second annual Beyond the Game event is an Iowa baseball experience that allows guests to relive the magic of the classic 1989 film “Field of Dreams”. Guests can hang out at the UNI booth and enjoy other festivities in preparation for the Major League Baseball game between the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs being held at the iconic Field of Dreams on Aug. 11.
In addition to the game, there will be music, food and family-friendly activities. Fans who want a chance to meet their favorite baseball players can also get free autographs at Fan Fest, happening on Aug. 10 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those who don’t have tickets to the game can still get a taste of the action at the free viewing party at City Square on Aug. 11, starting at 6 p.m.
