UNI-Dome renovation gets $1M boost from Black Hawk County Gaming Association
In its most recent round of grants unveiled in late December, the Black Hawk County Gaming Association has approved $1 million to the University of Northern Iowa to support the second phase of the UNI-Dome renovation. The three-phase renovation project is scheduled to be completed by fall 2026 when UNI celebrates the Dome’s 50th anniversary.
In the second phase of the renovation, new suites and restrooms will be added to the UNI-Dome. There will be a comprehensive reseating and improved accessibility. Ultimately, these changes will elevate the experience of both fans and student athletes.
Improvements to the UNI-Dome are one part of the Our Tomorrow campaign, which is UNI’s $300 million fundraising campaign. In addition to facilities updates, Our Tomorrow supports student scholarships, academic programs, new athletics facilities and more.
