UNI Wrestling sets McLeod Center attendance record in historic win

A record-breaking crowd of 7,348 fans packed the McLeod Center on Sunday, setting a new all-time attendance record for any sport in the arena’s history. The crowd witnessed No. 4 UNI Wrestling take down in-state rival Iowa State, 26-10, marking the Panthers’ first win over the Cyclones in six years.
The electric atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for senior Parker Keckeisen’s final home match. The three-time All-American capped off his McLeod career in dominant fashion, extending his regular season winning streak to 52 matches and finishing a perfect 37-0 in Big 12 dual competition.
