Five Cedar Falls High School students.

Five Cedar Falls High School students have had their nose to the grindstone and are making tracks in their business, oldpeoplebrand. Hollis Wilson, Camden Dusenbery, Joey Dunning, Mack Eastman, and Lars Christiason began the oldpeoplebrand in mid-December of 2017. The group of friends decided to come together and start a clothing brand that derives from prevalent streetwear and attempts to promote their idealistic type of culture throughout. Some of the clothing items offered at the www.oldpeoplebrand.com online shop are hand printed and produced right here in the Cedar Valley by the boys themselves. By making use of each other's individual talents, oldpeoplebrand successfully launched its first collection on February 3, 2018. To find out when their web store is open, follow them on Instagram: @oldpeoplebrand

Meet the boys:

Camden Dusenbery: A senior at Cedar Falls High School, Camden, plans to attend post-secondary schooling to find a career in business administration or sports management. Camden enjoys playing basketball, watching the Los Angeles Lakers, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Mack Eastman: Mack is currently a junior at Cedar Falls High School. Although Mack is still considering which university he will attend after graduation, he plans to major in some kind of business field. Mack currently works as a cook at Urban Pie, helps out with various jobs at his mother’s store, Miss Wonderful, and runs cross country.

Hollis Wilson: Hollis, a junior at Cedar Falls High School, plans to study graphic design or fashion in college. When he’s not working on the oldpeoplebrand, you can find Hollis working at the Runners Flat in Cedar Falls, making art, running, or hanging out with friends.

Joey Dunning: Joey is currently a senior at Cedar Falls High School and will attend college for graphic design. Joey enjoys expressing his creativity in his own way, whether that be his style or the art he creates, Joey has always found interest in expressing himself creatively. Joey is a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoys talking sports with Camden and Mack.

Lars Christiason: As a senior at Cedar Falls High School this year, Lars plans to study fashion or biology in college. When not at school or working on the brand, can be found working at the Western Home and as a lifeguard at the Falls Aquatic Center. Lars enjoys producing clothing, painting, and creating music in his free time.

Whether it be art, design, fashion, or business, the oldpeoplebrand has taught these five a lot about business in the real world. During their time at the UNI JPEC, they have learned critical life and business skills such as innovation, problem solving, professionalism, and career exploration. These talents and skills will benefit them as they grow this business and businesses they pursue in the future. The oldpeoplebrand crew is a clear indication that with hard work, team chemistry, and dedication, age is only a number.
