The University of Northern Iowa Panther Marching Band accepted an invitation to perform in London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2024-2025 edition. Bob Bone, parade chairman and founder, as well as Duncan Sandys, senior patron and former Lord Mayor of Westminster, flew overseas to personally invite the band. Cheers and excitement rang throughout the UNI-Dome as they made the announcement. The Panther Marching Band’s last performance in London took place in 2015. Viewers in the US will be able to watch the parade through PBS.
