Use promo code TR24F to apply with no application fee March 3-8

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI invites prospective transfer students to apply for free from March 3 through March 8, 2024. Transfer students can apply to UNI without paying the typical application fee by submitting an application on apply.uni.edu with the application promo code TR24F, saving a minimum of $40 with each application. Transfer students interested in pursuing a UNI degree – whether on-campus or online – are eligible.

UNI has been repeatedly recognized as one of the most transfer-friendly universities in the nation, most recently named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s 2023 Transfer Honor Roll in recognition of the dynamic pathways it has created to support students transferring from community colleges. 

UNI continues to be a destination of choice for community college students seeking a four-year degree with 73% of new transfer students coming from one of Iowa’s community colleges. Enrollment in UNI’s partnership with Iowa community colleges, known as UNI@IACC, provides seamless access for students completing their associate’s degree to finish their bachelor’s degree online through UNI.

UNI continues to be an ideal match for students coming from across the country as well.

“I didn’t get a lot of one-on-one interaction with my professors at my old school. There wasn’t a lot of time for individuals to meet with the teacher,” said Dezirae Wiley, originally from Alaska. “It’s very easy to make friends at UNI. ‘Iowa nice’ is a thing. I’ve felt very welcomed here.”
