CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The dates have been set for UNI Homecoming 2025! The annual University of Northern Iowa celebration week will take place Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. This is a chance for current students, alumni, faculty, staff, fans and community members to come together to celebrate everything that it means to be a Panther.

“Homecoming continues to serve as one of our most anticipated university traditions, bringing together generations of families and friends to express our shared Panther pride,” said Pete Moris, director of University Relations at UNI. “Homecoming remains a time to reconnect, reflect and create new memories with the entire community. We are looking forward to another eventful Homecoming week as we begin our sesquicentennial celebrations in earnest.”

Homecoming will be extra special this year, as it will be one of the first campus-wide events during the UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration, marking 150 years rich in tradition at the University of Northern Iowa. The UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration will continue throughout 2025 and culminate during Homecoming 2026.

This year’s Homecoming parade, a highlight of the celebration, will march through downtown Cedar Falls on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025. Parade goers can gather along Main Street to experience food and fun in the vibrant downtown district.

More details about events during Homecoming week will be announced in the near future. Monitor homecoming.uni.edu for more information about the Homecoming theme and schedule of events.
