Film screening and panel discussion on Bosnian resettlement

UNI RISE (Refugee and Immigrant Support and Empowerment) will screen "A Home in the Heartland" at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, in 109 CBB. The film is by a UNI graduate about Bosnian resettlement in the Cedar Valley. A panel discussion with faculty and immigration experts will follow the screening. This event is in conjunction with a Grout Museum exhibit titled "Bosnian Portraits: At Home in the Cedar Valley."

Upcoming Workshops on R Statistical Software

Mark Jacobson of UNI's Statistical Consulting Center will hold three workshops on the statistical software environment R on March 6, 20 and 27. The workshops will be held from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in 202E SEC, and are co-sponsored by the Department of Educational Psychology & Foundations and the Center for Educational Transformation.

End-of-life care mini summit

This mini summit is scheduled for Saturday, March 24. The purpose is to provide community conversations between medical professionals, social workers and the general public as they explore and share experiences with end-of-life care. Each of these groups offer a unique perspective of relieving and lessening pain in someone with a life-limiting condition. The mini summit will also provide compassion and empathy for others as they cope and experience grief and loss. Limited space available; RSVP online
