Public health expands sexual health services to University of Northern Iowa

Black Hawk County Public Health is partnering with University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Student Health Center to offer sexual health services for students at UNI. Services provided by Black Hawk County Public Health are free and confidential.

Sexual health services include testing and treatment for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis, along with other infections. Clinic staff will also provide safer sex counseling and answer questions. Free condoms and sexual health supplies are also available as needed.

Clinic services are provided on the first and third Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m. at the UNI Student Health Center, 1600 W. 23rd St., Cedar Falls. Appointments are available however, walk-ins are welcome. Students may incur a fee for sexual health services provided outside of these public health clinic hours.

Working collaboratively with UNI Student Health improves access to sexual health services by removing the barrier of time and transportation that many students face when accessing needed care.
