UNI prepares to celebrate nearly 700 graduates at fall 2024 Commencement

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Nearly 700 students will celebrate their achievements this Saturday as the University of Northern Iowa hosts its fall 2024 Commencement in the McLeod Center. Among the graduates are 212 first-generation college students and 25 military veterans, highlighting UNI’s commitment to supporting student success.

Family, friends and the UNI community are welcome to celebrate this milestone event. The ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m., will also be live streamed on YouTube for those unable to attend in person. 

Fall 2024 graduates represent nine countries, 14 states, and 80 of Iowa’s counties. Undergraduate students in this graduating class have an average cumulative UNI GPA of 3.39, with 13.7% graduating with multiple majors.
