University of Northern Iowa unveils TC’s Tee

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa –  The University of Northern Iowa is introducing a new tradition for the entire UNI family to enjoy: TC’s Tee. The shirt, with a new design each year, embodies the Panther spirit, gives back to students and serves as a great conversation starter.

“Our marketing team started with a simple goal - unite Panthers,” said director of University Relations Pete Moris. “Another one of their objectives was to create an annual sense of anticipation for students, faculty, staff, alumni and parents. With each design only being around for a year, I think they came up with a winning concept to launch the project, making each year’s shirt a must-have item.”

This year’s inaugural design from RAYGUN declares Panthers as the “Baddest Cats in the Valley.”

But TC’s Tee is more than a fashion statement - it’s a way to help students. A portion of the proceeds from every sale goes directly to the general scholarship fund at UNI to benefit current and future Panthers.

“I’ll take some satisfaction knowing that I’m helping the general scholarship fund at UNI,” Moris said. “I think others in the UNI community will have a similar sense of pride when they purchase and wear TC’s Tee.”

The first chance for the general public to grab their TC’s Tee will be during the Iowa State Fair at the University of Northern Iowa booth in the Varied Industries building. The shirt will also be available at the UNI Bookstore when classes resume August 21. Additional retail locations are pending.
