Summit to focus on Diversity, Inclusion and Economics in the Cedar Valley

The annual Economic Diversity and Inclusion Summit will be Friday, Oct. 22, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the newly renovated Waterloo Convention Center. Sailu Timbo, Vice President for Diversity and Community Relations, Hy-Vee Inc., will deliver this year’s keynote address. The summit is focused heavily on providing employers and employees methods for diversifying their workforces and creating welcoming environments.

UNI to host System of Support conference for helping professionals

The University of Northern Iowa’s TRIO Educational Opportunity Center, College for Social Behavioral Sciences and Center for Urban Education welcomes helping professionals within the community to participate in its 2021 System of Support conference.

New date set for UNI's inaugural Business and Community Fair

Cedar Valley businesses and organizations will have a unique opportunity to introduce themselves to University of Northern Iowa students and employees at the inaugural Business and Community Fair. Due to the strong likelihood of rain Wednesday, the event will now be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Lawther Field on the UNI campus. The fair will be moved to Maucker Union in the event of rain that day.

UNI School of Music to host 40th annual Scholarship Benefit Concert

"Better Together" will be the theme of the 40th Annual Scholarship Benefit Concert, hosted by the UNI School of Music. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24 at the Great Hall in the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC) on the University of Northern Iowa campus.

UNI Homecoming Parade returns, heads to downtown Cedar Falls

The University of Northern Iowa Homecoming Parade is back this year and community members can register for the event through this Friday, Sept. 24. This year's parade will be staged on Main Street in downtown Cedar Falls on Saturday, Oct. 2nd at 11 a.m., beginning at 9th Street and ending at 2nd Street. The event will be emceed by KWWL-TV Sports Director Rick Coleman and Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations Leslie Prideaux. The event will be live-streamed by UNI and KWWL-TV.

UNI unveils new online business degree options for adult learners

As part of its growing commitment to adult learners, the University of Northern Iowa is expanding its Management: Business Administration Bachelor of Arts degree to include a fully online, part-time option.

TheatreUNI will present “A Small Pair of Feet in the Middle of the Sea” by Kit Steinkeller at 7 p.m., Sept. 29 - Oct. 2 and on Oct. 3  at 2 p.m. in the Arts Triangle Courtyard on the University of Northern Iowa campus.
