UNI moving to online classes, reduced operations on January 16
Due to projected wind chills and ongoing winter weather, as well as road and travel conditions in the region, the University of Northern Iowa campus will move to reduced operations on Tuesday, January 16. During this period of weather-related reduced operations, in-person classes will NOT meet. Instructors for in-person classes may move the class to an online format with prior notification. Online and virtual classes will proceed as scheduled.
Supervisors should communicate with their employees about working remotely on Tuesday. Please remain safe by staying home on Tuesday if you have not been identified as essential personnel.
Current plans are for campus to resume normal operations and in-person instruction on Wednesday, January 17. Should those plans change, updated information will be communicated.
Housing & Dining services are available to students already on campus and for those planning to return over the weekend. Hall offices will operate 8 a.m - 6 p.m on Saturday and Sunday, and will be open 3-6 p.m. on Monday. Please see UHD's web page for additional information including dining hours and operations.
