“TC Day” gives UNI several things to celebrate
The approaching end of the academic year gives the entire UNI campus community reasons to celebrate. Campus is abuzz with nicer weather, outdoor activities and projects nearing the finish line.
To officially signal the change and enjoy the taste of warmer weather, TC Day - or The Celebration - will be held on Tuesday April 23, providing an array of activities to celebrate the culmination of a successful academic year.
Originally known as “Tropical Celebration Day,” the theme has been revamped to honor the approaching end of the academic year while Panthers everywhere uphold a UNI tradition. Now in its seventh year, TC Day has grown to a series of events from yard games, treats and festive food. There will be a fun run as well as a social media scavenger hunt for the entire campus community to participate in.
Along with the activities, The Celebration will also mark the approaching end of this year’s campaign for TC’s Tee, “Baddest Cats in the Valley.” The total funds raised from this year’s theme will be announced by President Nook at a TC Day kickoff event in Maucker Union at noon. Everyone is encouraged to wear their TC’s Tee on April 23 to celebrate the “Baddest Cats” before this year’s design goes into the vault.
