The Robert and Yvonne Koob Fund for Student Community Engagement is an endowment supporting students who are completing internships in positions of service in Iowa. Awards up to $2,000 (undergraduate students) and up to $3,000 (graduate students) will be given and approximately $10,000 total is awarded annually. Understand why it is difficult for some seniors to identify and/or report financial exploitation. Help seniors determine a trustworthy power of attorney to manage their finances. Learn how to help seniors avoid identity theft through preventive practices, monitoring accounts and credit and develop a plan for future emergencies. This 3-day workshop focuses on incorporating service activities into courses to align with course learning goals, enhance student growth and civic awareness and strengthen our community. This is open to all faculty. In addition, those teaching courses in the new minor/cert Civic Literacy, Engagement, and the Humanities and those interested in supporting the planning of the Sesquicentennial in 26-26 are encouraged to apply.
