UNI announces appointment of interim VP of Student Affairs

The University of Northern Iowa is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. David Grady as the interim vice president of student affairs, pending Board of Regents approval.

A former vice president at the University of Alabama, Grady is currently a senior fellow at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators in Washington, D.C. His career includes nearly six years as associate vice president and dean of students at the University of Iowa.David Grady

The University of Northern Iowa announced today that Dr. José Herrera will serve as its next Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, pending Board of Regents approval.

First UNI Provost candidate announced

The University of Northern Iowa has announced the first finalist in the search for its next Provost.

Vandana Kohli, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at California State University, Channel Islands, will interview remotely on Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29. Dr. Kohli will meet with faculty, staff, students and other members of the campus community. Kohli’s curriculum vitae is available here.

UNI provost accepts presidency at Central Washington University

After six years at the University of Northern Iowa, Provost and Executive Vice President Jim Wohlpart will be leaving in June to become president of Central Washington University. 

“It has been a deep honor to partner with so many faculty, staff and administrators across campus to elevate the great work of teaching, learning, scholarship and service here,” Wohlpart said. He added that working with students at UNI has been one of the best parts of his job. “I’m excited to start this new role and will leave campus with many wonderful memories and lasting relationships.”
