The University of Northern Iowa welcomes all to celebrate its 150th year as an institution, announcing the UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration, kicking off more than a year of activities and signature events.
After 24 seasons as head coach of the Panthers, Mark Farley, ’86, ended his UNI Football career with a triumphant 41-34 win over Indiana State in the UNI-Dome on November 23.
The USS Iowa submarine will be commissioned in Connecticut this Saturday, April 5, before deploying to sea later this year with 125 sailors on board. Among the group, you’ll find the “Panthers."
The University of Northern Iowa is planning for perhaps its biggest coordinated volunteer effort to date — one that may even rival the annual Pack the Dome event. This special Day of Service will take place on April 8, 2026 as part of the UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration.
