UNI will celebrate nearly 1,600 graduates at spring Commencement

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—Nearly 1,600 graduates make up UNI’s class of spring 2025, and three Commencement ceremonies will be held to celebrate their achievements.
Graduates represent 22 countries, 28 states and 96 Iowa counties. Nearly a third of the students identify themselves as first-generation college graduates, and 43 are veterans.
These students carry an average undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.45. One in five are graduating with multiple majors.
This spring’s commencement will include several unique milestones for UNI’s graduate programs. The first principalship cohort from Des Moines Public Schools, enrolled through a special partnership with the College of Education, will be recognized as they complete their program. In the Wilson College of Business, six MBA students from Shanghai will travel to Cedar Falls to walk across the stage with their classmates. And the Doctor of Education (EdD) program will celebrate a record 30 graduates — the largest group in the program’s history — marking a major milestone fueled by recent program enhancements.
For those who cannot attend but would still like to watch Commencement, there will be a livestream for each ceremony:
