My Well-being: Health and Fitness 55+

Human Resource Services will host an interactive session on maintaining health and fitness at age 55+. Participants will learn tips, tricks and exercises that are safe and will help maintain a healthy lifestyle. This hour-long session will be presented by Merriam Lake, with MercyOne Wellness, on Wednesday, May 15 at noon in Gilchrist 009. Please register in advance.

Financial Wellness: Spotting the Signs of Elder Financial Exploitation

Human Resource Services will host an informational session on how to protect seniors against financial exploitation, guard them against identity theft and help them prepare for others managing their finances. Understand why it is difficult for some seniors to identify and/or report financial exploitation. Help seniors determine a trustworthy power of attorney to manage their finances. Learn how to help seniors avoid identity theft through preventive practices, monitoring accounts and credit, and develop a plan for future emergencies. This session will be presented by Regions Bank on Friday, May 3 at 11 a.m., via Zoom. Please register in advance.

The semester is coming to an end and finals are near. Have no fear, Student Wellness Services is here. Stay tuned on the Student Wellness Services social media pages for time management tips, effective ways to study, ways to stay motivated, do's and don'ts during finals week and ways to keep yourself healthy. Final IAF Application Deadline is Thursday, May 2

Completed IAF applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 (this deadline is for research applications or any trips occurring between June 1st - September 30th). The Intercollegiate Academics Fund (IAF) is a yearly allocation of Student Activity Fee monies that exists to promote and support intercollegiate academic experiences for University of Northern Iowa students. Cost Share - RSP Training Series - Wed, May 1 | 10-11 am

Part of the RSP Training series, cost-share, match, in-kind dollars, leveraged funds...what is it really, how should it be handled in a proposal and how do I report it at UNI? This Zoom session will provide a detailed look at cost share and reporting cost share on sponsored projects at UNI. Please register in advance

Final Accounting - RSP Training Series - Thurs, May 2 | 2-3 pm

Part of the RSP Training series, final accounting is the financial reconciliation of your sponsored project, which helps you take a "final look" at your project and all the expenses related to your project. This Zoom session will guide you through the final accounting process for sponsored projects at UNI. Please register in advance

Preparing Your IRB Application - Tues, April 30 | 10-11 am

Are you ready to prepare an IRB application, and you just aren't sure where to begin? Join IRB Administrator Lisa Ahern for a basic "How-To" Zoom session on using Cayuse, the IRB application system.
