On Friday, April 22, 2022, a team of advertising students from UNI took home the top prize at the AAF District 9 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) in Kansas City, Missouri for their winning campaign for Meta to promote the Quest 2 VR headset.

UNI Communication & Media Department Announces Redesigned Master’s Degree and Certificate Programs

The University of Northern Iowa Department of Communication and Media announced today its newly redesigned Master of Arts (MA) degree.

Michelle Hall, 46, and her oldest daughter, MaKayla McDonald, 28, received their diplomas on the same day.

UNI alumna overcomes domestic violence to help others in need of housing

Michelle Hall raised four children, overcame domestic violence and first enrolled at UNI at age 41. She now works at a Waterloo nonprofit that serves people affected by homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault.
