Excitement over all things science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) will abound on March 21 when UNI hosts the Cedar Valley Family STEM Festival.
Faculty, staff, students and alums from the University of Northern Iowa gathered at the Iowa State Capitol on Feb. 14 to celebrate the many ways UNI's programs, facilities and resources support the education of future generations, as well as industry and workforce needs across the state.
UNI was the first school in Iowa, and one of the first in the nation, to use synthetic cadavers - also known as syndavers - in its classrooms, and has since become a model for other institutions across the state when it comes to integrating the use of syndavers into its programs.
UNI has created a program that will help Iowa teachers receive their computer science education endorsement thanks to a recent grant of nearly $1 million.
