The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open for the 2024-2025 academic year. Current and incoming UNI students should complete it.
Jerry Thiel, director of the University of Northern Iowa’s Foundry 4.0 Center, is the 2023 recipient of the Thomas E. Barlow Award of Honor from the Steel Founders’ Society of America.
In 1994, Marc Mitchell ('95) chose to study in Denmark for a semester, not anticipating how life-changing it would be. He learned about this opportunity from a fraternity friend who had gone the previous year and decided to pursue it after some inquiries with the business school. This past summer he returned with his family to reconnect with his Danish classmate.
Bowlsby served as the UNI Director of Athletics from 1983-1991 and managed the Panthers' entry into the Missouri Valley Conference. He is currently serving as UNI's Interim Athletic Director.
