This spring, the University of Northern Iowa will celebrate a milestone: 30 students will graduate with their Doctor of Education (EdD), the largest number in the program’s history.
Affirming a reputation of quality in preparing tomorrow’s teachers, the Iowa State Board of Education has unanimously approved full re-accreditation for the University of Northern Iowa Educator Preparation Program. The approval remains in effect through the next review scheduled for the 2030-2031 academic year.

The theme pays homage to UNI’s storied past, drawing inspiration from the UNI Sesquicentennial Celebration, which will officially launch during Homecoming week.
