New name! Trailside Apartments

UNI’s newest housing option, formerly known as The Quarters Cedar Falls, is now Trailside Apartments. UNI acquired the 480-bed apartment complex in January. Students are now able to contract to live at Trailside Apartments for the 2025-26 academic year. For additional information about living at Trailside, email UNI Housing & Dining at housing@uni.edu or call 319-273-2333. UHD will begin to transition to the new name throughout the remainder of the spring semester and over the summer.

Financial Wellness: Q&A with an Advisor

Do you have questions regarding your current or future financial standings? How about your retirement planning? Maybe you have questions about Social Security or investing. If you answered yes to any of those topics you don't want to miss out on this session! Justin Dams, with Veridian Investment Services, will be available for your questions on Wednesday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Gilchrist 009. Feel free to come and go as your questions are answered, or stick around for the entire session to hear information on a wide variety of topics. Please register in advance.

Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA) Increased Maximums for Those Aged 60-63

The Secure Act 2.0 increased the catch-up contribution limit for those participating in the tax-deferred annuity (TDA) plans for those who are turning 60 – 63 in 2025. The catch-up amount is referred to as a ‘super catch-up.’ This catch-up limit is $3,750 in addition to the contribution limit of $31,000 to make the total contribution limit for those ages 60-63 $34,750. If you’d like to enrolled in, or change, your TDA amount, you can do so through UNI Works. Please see the following Job Aid for instructions.

Phi Alpha Theta Lecture Series

Professor Barbara Cutter, of the History Department, will be giving the March installment of the Phi Alpha Theta Lecture Series: "The Spectacle of the Pro-Suffrage Female Mountaineer: Citizenship Claims and the Rivalry for the Women’s World High-Altitude Climbing Record, 1898-1912”. The lecture will be held in Seerley 115 on Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m.. The Phi Alpha Theta Lecture Series is always free and open to the public.

Red Flag, Green Flag: Navigating Healthy Dating

On Wednesday, April 9 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in Sabin Hall 002 learn how to identify warning signs ("red flags") that indicate potentially unhealthy dating relationships. We want to encourage your understanding of these red flags but also highlight positive behaviors ("green flags") that promote safe and positive dating practices that will improve your well-being. Through a panel of dating and healthy relationship promotion experts, we invite you to join our group discussion of practicing and identifying red flags and green flags in real-life dating situations.
