Everyone is welcome at the AFS UNI Chapter Open Melt Night on Wednesday, September 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Applied Engineering Building Foundry. Learn all about metal casting from Grede, a top U.S. foundry. Participate in a hands-on experience by making a mold or choose to learn about the metal casting process from observing students. Free pizza and drinks are provided. Long pants and closed toed shoes are required.
University Relations will be holding a headshot day for faculty and staff on Monday, September 30. Time slots are available from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Headshots are taken in the University Relations photo studio, 105 E. Bartlett. Please sign up in advance to reserve your spot. Once photos are ready, they will be housed in Photoshelter and can be accessed via CatID log-in.
The 2024 Capacity Grant competition sponsored by RSP is now open. The Capacity Building Program is a competitive award program that provides seed grants to faculty and staff for projects which need early phase support to become competitive for external funding. The purpose of the program is to enhance the ability of faculty and staff to successfully compete for external funding, as well as building UNI's capacity for scholarship, research, and creative activities. A voice cloning attack begins with a cyber-criminal collecting audio samples of the target's voice.
