Students from Iowa Wesleyan University can continue their education journey at the University of Northern Iowa. UNI is hosting an Iowa Wesleyan Visit Day on Tuesday, May 9 from 10:15 a.m. - 2 p.m. to give prospective students the opportunity to explore campus, learn about scholarships, get on-the-spot transfer evaluations and learn about next steps.
Visit day will welcome prospective, admitted and international students from Iowa Wesleyan, and include an admissions presentation, overview of academic programs, and a tour of campus and dorms.
UNI is also offering a $1,000 transfer scholarship for eligible Iowa Wesleyan students that is stackable with other UNI transfer awards.
Next week is the P&S Spring Social with the President on Tuesday, May. The social will be held in the University Room located at the Maucker Union from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. President Nook will be providing updates on the progress of the University. Bring your colleagues and enjoy some light refreshments and snacks.
Human Resource Services will host a session led by Cedar Valley Hospice. Cedar Valley Hospice counselors will provide information on how managers can support an employee who is grieving, and resources available in the community. This one hour session will be held Wednesday, May 10 at 2 p.m. in Gilchrist 009. Please register in advance.

Garden of Memories Cemetery, located at 3669 Logan Avenue, Waterloo, IA 50703, is in need of volunteers to place flags on the grave of each Veteran for Memorial Day on Thursday, May 25 (May 26 rain date). Two shifts are available from 9 a.m.- noon; and 4-7 p.m. Sign up by emailing lentferjames@gmail.com or yloveless@blackhawkcounty.iowa.gov, or call 319-287-9463 to keep this noble tradition alive. Volunteers would also be needed for Wednesday May 31 throughout the day to remove the flags.
Student Wellness Services and other campus partners will be hosting De-Stress Days on May 1 through 3 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Maucker Union Ballrooms. Stop by to enjoy the following stress-relieving activities: coloring, vision boards, bracelet making, notes of gratitude, inspirational rocks, beverages, dogs provided by Pet Pals and instructed yoga classes.
