Violent Incident Defense Strategies (V.I.D.S.)

UNI Police will host V.I.D.S. training sessions beginning Friday, March 3 in Room 30 BCS. V.I.D.S. training is designed to help individuals increase their decision-making ability and chances of survival during an active shooter or violent incident. Retirement Readiness: Retire from UNI

Human Resource Services will host two informational session on retiring from UNI, for faculty and staff planning to retire soon. The hour-long sessions will be presented by Therese Callaghan, Employee Well-being Coordinator, on Wednesday, March 8 at 10 a.m in Gilchrist 007 & 2 p.m. in Gilchrist 009. Workshops -- Reduce Test Anxiety and Test Taking Strategies

Join The Learning Center @ Rod Library on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. in Rod 272 for free workshops. On Friday, March 3 learn tips and tricks to combat test taking anxiety. Learn strategies to help both before and during a test.

Nominate an outstanding professor for the UNI Outstanding Teaching Award!

The UNI Outstanding Teaching Award was created to recognize outstanding professors on our campus. Candidates for this award may have shown significant contributions to the quality of teaching by: taking into considerable account student needs and interest, preparing and utilizing innovative classroom strategies and materials, being generous with time and talent, seriously considering academic excellence and individual student development, etc. Nominations for this award are due by Friday, February 24. Seeking Track for Meskwaki Summer Camp

UNI is hosting summer camp for Meskwaki students entering 7th-10th grades, July 17-21, 2023. During each afternoon, participants will be divided into groups of 6-10 students for personalized programs focused on specific academic areas. Tracks in the areas of sustainability/conservation and entrepreneurship are already planned. We are seeking proposals for a third track with a different focus.
